       afd  Thereupon the said Price Collins and Nathannel Williams both Present in Court as afd acknowledged
       themselves to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto the said Mary Evans Joyntly & Severally in the
       sum of thirty pounds Curr.t mony to be Levied on their Bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements to the use
       of the said Mary Evans In Case the Said Price Collins does not Comply with the Covenants abovesaid &c

 Wee of the grand Jury for Sommersett County do present Rose Magee Servant to M.rs Rownds for
Bearing a Bastard Child in the Year 1720 now in Stepney Parish John Hardy Informer
                                                                                                Mer: Ellis foreman
                               Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Sommersett County that he should take the said
       Rose Magee of Stepney Parish if shee shall be found in his Baliwick and her should Safe Keep so that he
       migh have her Body Before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Sommersett to be held at Dividing
       Creek the third tuesday of march ^then^ next to answer unto his Lordship Concerning a Certain Present against her
       found and that thereof he should not fail &c                                                             Att which said third tuesday of
       March to witt the Ninteenth day of the same month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty
       two Being the day of the return of the said Writt Comes the sherr of Sommersett County and makes return
       thereof Endorst vizt                                       Cepi P Joseph MccChester Sherr
                                                 Whereupon the said Sherr altho' Solemnly Called Brings not in the Body
       of the said Rose Magee But humbly Prays that day may be given him untill Next Court to bring in the Body
       of the said Rose Magee to answer the Premisses abovesaid &c which is granted &c
       Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of June Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and
twenty three Comes the said Sherr and Brings into Court the said Rose Magee to answer &c    Whereupon the said
Rose Magee Being sett to the Barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the Premisses
afd says that of the Premisses afd she is guilty thereof and submitts to the Mercy of the Court and says that a Certain
Robert Canady is the father and Begetter of the Child she stands Presented for   But forasmuch as the said Rose
Magee had not wherewith all to pay her fine for the fact afd nor no person would doe the same for here
                      Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the said Rose Magee be had to the Publick whiping
Post and there to be whipt on the Bear Back with fifteen Lashes well Laid on untill the Blood appear thereupon
as to the Corporall Punishm.t afd Command is given to the Sherr of Sommersett County that he do thereof Immediate
Execution according to the Judgm.t afd rendered by whiping the afd Rose Magee at the Publick Whiping Post with
fifteen Lashes on her bear Back well Laid on untill the Blood appear and afterwards the sherr returns that
he has done the Execution of the Judgm.t as afd he was Commanded   Thereupon for as much as the said Rose
Magee is a servant Its' Ordered that the severall officers Charge their severall fees to ye County that accrued by
action of the Premisses afd &c
