               June Court                      1723                   50
        Thereupon Command was given to the Sherr of Sommersett County that he should sumons the said Price Collins
        if he should be in his Baliwick that all Excuses sett apart he be and appear before the Justices of his Lordships
        County Court of Sommersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then & Next to answer
        the Petition afd and that the said Price Collins have at the time and Place afd the said Mary Evans &
        Lawrence Evans Orphans in the Pet.n afd Mentioned &c and that thereof he should not fail &c
        Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the Eighteenth day of the same Month Ann Dom one thousand seven
        hundred and twenty three Being the day of the return of the said Writt Comes the Sherr of SOmmersett County &
        Makes return thereof Endorst viz.t            Sommoned P Jos: MccChester Sherr

        Whereupon Comes here into Court as well the said Isabell OBryan on the Petitioner as the Said Price
        Collins with the two Orphans afd and the Petition afd Being read and the Court haveing heard the
        severall allegations as well on Behalfe of the said Petitioner as on the Part of the said Price Collins and
        for as much as it doth not not appear to the Court here that the said Orphans are abused or any ways
        misused &c and the said Orphans Being Willing to remain with the said Price therefore the two
       Orphans are Bound unto the said Price Collins as follows viz.t

     The said Lawrence Evans Orphan as afd is Bound by the Court and Consent of the said

Orphan unto Price Collins untill he arrives to the age of twenty One years he being Nine
                      Years of Age the Sixteenth day of July next he the said Lawrence Evans to serve the said Price Collins
       until he arr the full term of time afd            In Consideration of which service the said Price Collins
       Promiseth to Learn the said Lawrence Evan's the trade of a Cordwainer and to read and write well and to
       give him a young mare of two years Old at the Expiration of his service and to find and Provide for him ye sd
       Lawrence Evans sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing dureing his service afd mete for
       him the said Lawrence Evans to have and weare &c             Whereupon it's Ordered by the Court that the
       said Price Collins give security in thirty Pounds with One Surety for the Performance of the Covenants afd &c
          Thereupon the said Price Collins and Nathaniel Williams Both Present here in Court acknowledged themselves
       to owe and stand Justly Indebted Joyntly and Severally unto the said Lawrence Evans in the sum of thirty
       Pounds Curr.t mony to be Levied on their Bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements to the use of the said Lawrence
       Evans in Case the said Price Collins does not Comply with the Covenants abovesaid &c

The same
 And the afd Mary Evans is Bound by the Court and her assent unto the said Price Collins untill
she arrives to the age of sixteen years the said Mary Evans being thirteen years of age the Eight
day of march Last Past the said Mary Evans to Learn her serve the said Price Collins the full term
       of time afd   In Consideration of which service the said Price Collins Promiseth to Learn ye said Mary Evans to read
       well in ye Bible and houswifery and to find her sufficient Meat drink washing Lodgeing and Cloathing dureing her
          service afd mete for her the said Mary Evans to have and wear                     Whereupon it is Ordered by the  
              Court that the said Price Collins give Security in thirty pounds with one Surety for the Performance of the Covenants
