upon his goods and Chattles Lands and tenements for the Use of his Lordship and his Successors &.c This recognizance such that if the above Ann Whely do appear at our County Court to be held at dividing Creek by his Lordships Justices the 18.th day of Instant being the third tuesday of and doth answer unto what shall be objected against her for Bearing a Bastard and bringing a Bastard Child in or about the month of aprill Last in the County and Parish afd and doth stand tryall and abide Judgm.t then this recognizance to be void ^and^ of none Effect Otherwise to Stand in full force and vertue in Law &.c Now here at this day to witt the Nin Eighteenth day of June Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three Comes here in Court the Said Ann Whely in her proper Person and prays that her appearance may be Entered to save her selfe and security from a Certain recognizance of Bail Entered into as abovesaid thereupon the Said Ann Whely's appearance is accordingly Entered and to safe herselfe and security as afd is Praid Whereupon it's Ordered by the Court that the Said Ann Wheely give New recognizance in the sum of ten pounds Curr.t mony with one security in the sum of five pounds Curr.t mony for the Said Ann whely's appearance at the County Court to be held at Dividing Creek in Sommersett County the third tuesday of June November next Butt for want thereof the Said Ann Whely is Committed into the Custody of the Joseph Macchester high Sherr of the County afd thereupon the Said Joseph Macchester Present here in Court took Charge of the Said Ann Wheely accordingly And afterwards in the same Court Came the said Ann Whely With Daniell Cowdery of Sommersett County Planter her Security and the said Ann Whely acknowledged herselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary ^his heirs and Successors^ in the Sum of ten pounds Curr.t mony to be Levied on her Body goods and Chattles Lands and tenements for the Use of his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary In Case the said Ann Whely does not make her personall appearance Before the Justices of Our County Court to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of November next to answer unto his Lordship Concerning all such matters and things as shall be then and there Objected against her on his Lordships Behalfe and not to depart the same Court without Lycence there^of^ and to stand and abide ye Judgm.t of the Court thereon then the above recognizance to be void otherwise to remain &.c Likewise the said Daniell Cowdery Present here in Court as afd acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of five pounds Curr.t mony to be Levied on his Body goods and Chattles Lands and tenements for the use of his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary In Case the Said Ann Whely does not make her Personall appearance Before the Justices of our County Court to be held at Dividing Creek in Sommersett County afd the third tuesday of November next to answer unto his Lordship his heirs Concerning all such Matters and things as shall be then and Objected against her on his Lordship's Behalf and to Stand & abide ye Judgm.t of the Court thereof and not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof &.c |
