to witt the day Year and Place afd In Consideration Thereof upon himselfe did assume and to the said
Alexd Then and there did faithfully Promise that he the said Eighteen Hundred and Eleven
Pounds of Tobacco to the said Alex.d when he should be afterwards thereunto requested he would well &
faithfully Pay and Content and altho ye said William hath satisfied and Paid to the said Alex.d Nine hundred
Eighty three Pounds of Tobacco Percell of the afd Debt yet as to the Residue thereof Being Eight
Hundred Twenty Eight pounds of tobacco the said William his Promise and assumption afd in forme afd
Made Little regarding But Plotting and fraudulently Intending the said Alex.d in that part Craftilly &
Subtilly to Deceive and Defraud altho' the same to Do ye said William afterwards to witt on the sixteenth
day of October Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred Twenty four and often afterwards at ye Parish &
County afd within the afd Jurisdiction By the said Alexander he was thereunto requested the said Eight
Hundred Twenty Eight pounds of Tobacco to the said Alexander as yett he hath not paid Or to him
for the same in Anywise Contented But the same to him hither to to pay or in anywise for the same
to Content hath refused and still doth refuse & Deny whereup^on^ the said Alex saith he is worse and hath
Damages to the Vallue of sixteen hundred fifty Six Pounds of Tobacco and Thereupon he Brings
