          days which said service by the said Mary Cook to be Compleat to Commence at the Expiration of
          her before servitude and when free her Master to return her to Court &c

 Somersett fs  Be it Remembred that this day to witt the seventeenth day of march
seventeen hundred and twenty four Came into Court Levin Gale Cler of Indictm.ts for the
County afd and for the Lord proprietary gives the Court to understand and be in formed that John
    Howard Late of Somersett County Labourer the tenth day of aprill seventeen hundred and twenty four
    at the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court Committed fornication with a Certain Mary Perdue
    against the peace &c and also against the form of the act of assembly in such Case made & provided &c

             Whereupon the said John Howard in his own proper person appears and being sett to ye
    Barr is thereupon demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses Imposed upon him say
    that he is guilty thereof and prays that he may be admitted to make fine to the Lord proprietary for the
    fact afd          Wherefore it is Considered by the Court that the said John Howard be fined to the
    Lord proprietary of this province the sum of thirty shillings for the fact afd to be applied toward ^the defraying^ the County
    Charge (paid by Mr George Dasheill) to Capt John Jones for the use of the County to be returned when
    Required   It's thereupon Ordered by the Court that the said John Howard give security for paym.t
    of all fees that accrewed to the severall officers on the premisses afd   Whereupon a Certain George
    Dashiell present in Court undertakes for the said John Howord to pay the severall officers their
    fees due as afd &c

William Hudson
 We of the grand Jury do present William Huttson of all hollows parish Planter

for begetting a bastard Child on the Body of Francis Pointer  W.m Lane Foreman
                          Thereupon Command was given to the Sher of Somersett County that he should
take the said William Huttson if &c to answer &c and afterwards in the same Court Comes the said
William Huttson in Custody of the Sherr who before that time was Committed for the Cause afd and
the said William Huttson being sett to the Barr is thereupon demanded how he would acquitt himselfe
of the premisses afd says that of the premisses afd he is guilty thereof and prays that he may be
admitted to make fine to the Lord proprietary for the fact afd and he is admitted

          Therefore it is Considered by the Court that the said W.m Huttson be fined to his Lordship
the sum of thirty Shillings for the fact afd to be applyed toward the defraying the County Charge
which fine is paid in Court by Mr Fran: Allen unto Capt John Jones for the use of the County afd
Likewise the said Allen undertake to pay all fees for the said William Huttson by Occation
of the premisses on ye Presentmt afd &c
