Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of August Next to answer unto William Andrews of a plea that he render unto him the sum of twelve Barrells of good Indian Corn which to him he ows and unjustly detaines &c and that thereof he should not fail &c Att which said third tuesday of August to witt the Eighteenth day of the same month being the day of the return of the said Writt Cometh the Said William Andrews by Levin Gale his attorney and the Sherr of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing Writt was directed Likewise Cometh & maketh return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words viz.t Cepi Corpus P me Jos: McClester Sherr And the said David Price by Francis Allen his attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &c and prayeth Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the plft also Att which said next Court to witt the seventeenth day of November anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty four Came again as well the said Plft as the said deft by their attorneys afd and the aforesaid plft then and there his action afd against the afd deft did not prosecute with Effect but voluntarily suffered his suite to be discontinued &c Therefore afterwards the same day and Year Last mentioned by discretion of the Justices (203) were adjudged the same David Price the sume of pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges Expended according to the form of the Statute thereof Lately made and provided and the afd William Andrews in Mercy And that the afd David Price have thereof his Execution &c
And whereupon the said Mary by Bruffe Broughton her Prochein amy Complaines that whereas she ye said Mary is a true Chast and honest Leige Subject of Our Lord the King that now is and from the time of her Nativity hitherto was and as a good true and Chast person uncorrupted and uinattainted without any Villany unchastily or Crime of Love Life or Suspition of the same altogether untoucht unattainted unblemished Exempt and free by the whole time afd hath Led and Continued her Life by pretext afd whereof the said Mary Great favour and good will of Divers persons hath not undeservedly (Gained) |
