    said Sturges Dixon accordingly      thereupon day is given to the said Sturges Dixon in Custody as afd untill
next Court and the same day is given to the plft also
Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of August ann Dom one thousand seven hundred &
twenty four Came again as well the said plft by his attorney afd as the said Sturges Dixon in Custody as
afd and thereupon further day is given to the said Sturges Dixon in Custody as afd untill next Court &
the same day is given to the plft also                        Att which said next Court to witt the seventeenth day of
November ann Dom one thousand seven hundred & twenty four Came again as well the said plft by his attrny
afd as the said Deft in Custody as afd and the said plft then and there his action afd against the afd deft in
Custody as afd did not prosecute with Effect but voluntarily suffered his suite to be discontinued &c
    Therefore Afterwards the same day & Year Last mentioned by discretion of the Justices were adjudged
(47)   the same Sturges Dixon the sum of                                                                        pounds of tobacco
for his Costs and Charges Expended according to the form of the statute in such Case thereof Lately made & provided
and the afd Richard Hickman in Mercy and that the afd Sturges Dixon have thereof his Execution &c

 Somersett County fs:  Somersett Dickenson late of Coventry parish in
the County afd planter was attached to answer unto Jeffr'y Flower of a plea of trespass
upon the Case &c     And whereupon the same Jeffr'y by William Tazewell
       his attorney Complaines that whereas the same Somersett the tenth day of Aprill ann Dom one
    thousand seven hundred & twenty four at the parish and County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court was
    Indebted unto ye afd Jeffry in the sum of one pound six shillings and 9 pence Curr.t money of vergenia
    for divers good wares and merchantdizes by him the same Jeffery to the afd Somersett before that time
    there sold and delivered and being so thereof Indebted he the same Somersett in Consideration thereof upon
    himselfe assumed and to the same Jeffr'y then and there faithfully promised that he the same Somersett
    the afd one pound six shillings and Nine pence unto the said Jeffery when he should be afterwards thereto
    Requested would well and truely Content and pay Nevertheless the afd Somersett his promisse & assumption
    afd in form afd made Little regarding but minding and fraudulently Intending him the same Jeffery in
    this part Craftilly and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the afd three pounds six shillings and Nine pence ½ penny
    or any part thereof to the said Jeffr'y hath not paid altho' so to do the same Somersett the fifth day
    of may ann Dom seventeen hundred and twenty                        at ye parish and County afd within the
    afd Jurisdiction by the same Jeffery hath been required but the same to him hitherto to pay hath
    Refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the same Jeffr'y three
    pounds Curr.t money afd and thereof he brings suite &c
