246 and The Top Cutt of and the Stump raired up and Dead but the markes appears Plain to us and further saith not Given under our Hands this fourteenth day of November Ann 1724 Thomas Williams Sam.ll Handy The Deposission of Robert Hignett Being Quallified as above mentioned and aged about sixty two or upwards Decleares that the Heard John King Toll Phillip Adams Before he sould him the Land that his Corner Tree stood on the South side of the Gutt and further saith not which Tree appears as above Mentioned the day and year above written Thomas Williams; Samuel Handy, Somersett County fs Charles absolute Lord and Proprietarie of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon lord Baron of Baltemore &c To Robert Martin, William Richardson, William Selby, and John Purnall, of Somersett County Gentl: Greeting Know ye that wee Have appointed you or any three or Two of to Be Our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on Behalf of a Certain James Rounds of Somersett County Gentl: in Relation to Two Tracts of Land the one Called Collickmore and the Other Called Bletchinghurst Lying in Somersett County afd Wee therefore Command and require you or any three or two of you, that at some Time and Place as to you or any three or two of you shall seem Convenient you meet on the afd Two Tracts of Land Called Collickmore & Bletchinghurst and Cause to Come Before you or any three or two of you all such Evidences as shall be to your or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainant and that you Examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you Administred on the Holy Evangelist of almighty God in the Presence of the said Complainant or Deft (if any) Touching the truth or remembrance of the Knowledge or any thing that may relate to the Cause afd and that reduceing the several Deposissions into writeing you send the same together with this Our Commission under your or any three or two of your Hands to us to our County Court of Somersett with all Convenient Speed Wittness Joseph Gray Gentl Chief Justice of Our Said Court the 19th day of August in the Ninth year of Our Dominion &c Ann Dom 1724 P Order Thomas Hayward Cler Somersett County fs By Vertue of a Precept Directed by the worshipfull Court of Somersett County dated the 19th day of August Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and Twenty four To Us John Purnell, William Selby, William Richardson, and Robert Martin, Commissionating and Appointing us or any three or two of us to Examine (Evidences) |
