    damage of the said George of two thousand pounds of tob.o and thereof he brings suite &c

         A Copy of the foregoeing declaration was made & sent to be served on the defend.t with the writt in the
Plea afd                           Att which said third tuesday of of November to witt the seventeenth day of the
same Month ann Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty four being the day of the return of the
said Writt Cometh the said George Tull by his attorney afd and the sherr of Somersett County to whom
the foregoeing Writt was directed Likewise Cometh & Maketh return thereof to the Court here Endor
Endorst in these words following vizt                  Cepi Corpus P me      Thomas Hayward Jos: MccClester She
                               Whereupon the said Aaron Jordeen in his own proper ^person^ pers appears and at the
prayer of the plfts attorney afd the said Aaron Jordeen is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd
but for want thereof the said Aaron Jordeen is Committed into the Custody of the sherr of Somersett
County there to remaine &c the said Sherr present there in Court took Charge of the said Aaron Jordeen
accordingly   Whereupon the said Aaron Jordeen in Custody as afd in his own proper person
says that he Cannot gainsay the plft his action afd nor but that the debt afd is Yett due and
unsatisfyed  Wherefore the said plft prays Judgm.t for his debt afd and his Costs and damages sustained
by occasion of the detaining the same debt               therefore it is Considered by the Justices
here the seventeenth day of Novem ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and twenty four that the said George
Tull Recover against the said Aaron Jordeen in Custody as afd as well the sum of One thousand pounds of
tobacco his debt afd as also the sum of two hundred and Ninty pounds of tobacco by the Court here adjudged unto
for his Costs and damages sustained by occasion of the detaining the same debt to him to be adjudged & the deft
mercy &c  and afterwards in the same Court the afd Aaron Jordeen is COmmitted by the Justices thereof into
the Costody of the Sher of Somersett County there to remain untill such time as the plft of his debt and Costs
afd shall be thereof fully satisfied &c

 Somersett County fs:  Mary Phagan Late of Coventry Parish Spinster
was attached to answer unto Nathaniel Horsey of a plea of trespass upon
the Case &c   And whereupon the Same Nathaniel by Levin Gale his
                            attorney Complaines that whereas the afd Mary Phagan the tenth day of may one
       thousand seven hundred and twenty two at Coventry parish in the County afd within the Jurisdiction
       of this Court was Indebted unto him one pound ten shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and
four hundred pounds of tobacco for the Like sum paid for her use at the ^her^ request and so thereof being
Indebted the same Mary in Consideration thereof the day and year afd at the place afd within the
afd Jurisdiction upon herselfe assumed and to the same Nathaniell then and there faithfully
                                                                                                             (promised)
