 Somersett fs  The Jurors for the Right honourable the Lord proprietary
of this province that Now is for the body of Somersett County upon their
Oath do present that Isaac Stephens Late of Stepney parish in the
       County afd Planter the twenty fifth day of may one thousand seven hundred & twenty
       four at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did dceipt falcely
       Corruptly and deceiptfully pay unto a Certain John King one packed hogshead of tobacco
       without having the full weight of the Empty hh.d Cutt or marked on the Bulge of Said
       Hogshead against the peace of Our Said Lord proprietary his good rule & dignity and also
       against the form of the act of assembly in such Case made & provided &c

                Thereupon Command was given to the Sher of Somersett County that he should take the
       said Isaac Stephens Late of Stepney parish in the County afd planter if he should be
       found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe Keep so that he might have his Body
       before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing
       Creek the third tuesday of Novem ^then^ Next to answer unto a Certain presentm.t against him
       found &c and that thereof he should not fail &c

                Att which said third tuesday of November being the seventeenth day of the Same Month
       ann Dom One thousand seven hundred & twenty four Comes the sherr of Somersett County and
       makes return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words vizt      Cepi Corpus P Jos: MccClester sher

                Whereupon the said Isaac Stephens by George Dashiell his attorney Comes & says that
       of ye premisses afd he is guilty thereof and prays that he may be admitted to make fine to the Lord proprietary
       for the fact afd Wherefore it is Ordered by the Court that the said Isaac Stephens be
       fined to his Lordship the sume of six hundred pounds of tobo for the fact afd thereupon the
       said Isaac Stephens is Ordered to give security for the fine afd & all the Officers their
       fees due by occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain George Dashiell of Somerset
       County present in Court undertakes for the said Isaac Stephens to pay the fine afd and
       all the officers their fees due by Occasion of the premises &c


Wm Hudson's Recognizance

 William Hudson appears according to his Recognizance Entered into
for his appearance this Court and prays that his appearance may
       be recorded which is granted and he accordingly discharged &c thereupon the said W.m
