236 and being sett to the bar is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses afd above Imposed upon him says that of the premisses afd above Imposed upon him he is guilty thereof and submitts to the mercy of the Court and prays that he may be admitted to make fine to the Lord proprietary for the fact afd &c therefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the said Samuel Riggin be fined to his Lordship the Lord proprietary fifty pounds of tobacco for the fact afd thereupon the said Sam.l Riggin is Committed into the Custody of the Sher of Somersett County there to remain untill such time as the fine afd and all the officers their fees due by occasion of the premisses afd be thereof fully satisfied the said Joseph MccClester present in Court took Charge of the Said Saml Riggin accordingly &c John Scott Hugh Porter & W.m Taylor appears according to their Recognizance Entered into Last Court to give Evidence &c and are accordingly discharged &c Upon the petition of Joy Hobbs to be discharged from his Recognizance or he being bound dureing the Courts pleasure &c the premisses Considered therefore its ordered by the Court that the said Joy Hobbs be discharged from the same &c Abraham Puckham appears according to his Recognizance Entered into for his appearance ^to answer &c ^ and is accordingly discharged therefrom &c
of may On seventeen hundred & twenty four affronted a Certain William Gray then Constable of Pocomoke hundred in the Execution of his Office of Constable and Refused to obey his Lawfull Commands against the peace and also against the form of the act of assembly in such Case made & provide &c wherefore the said Levin prays advisem.t of the Court &c L Gale P Dom Propy Whereupon the said Peter Dickenson in his own proper person appears and being sett to ye Barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses afd above Imposed upon him says that he is guilty thereof and prays that he may be admitted to make fine to ye Lord proprietary for the fact afd Wherefore It is Considered by the Justices here that the said Peter Dickenson be fined to his Lordship fifty pounds of tobo for the fact afd thereupon the said Peter Dickenson is Committed into ye Costody of ye Sher untill he pay ye fine afd and all the Officers their fees due by by occasion of ye premisses afd the said Sher present took Charge of ye said Peter Dickenson accordingly &c |
