       afterwards that is to say the first day of february one thousand seven hundred and twenty
       three at the parish and County afd was delivered of a bastard Child against the peace of our
       said Lord proprietary his good rule & Dignity and also against the form of the act of assembly
       in Such Case made & provied         L Gale P Dom Propr
           On the Back side of the foregoing Bill of Indictm.t it was thus Endorst viz.t Billa vera
       Adam Hitch foreman
                                                                           Thereupon Command was given to the sherr of
Sommersett County that he should take the said Isabell Hust of Stepney parish in the County afd Spinster
if she should be found in his Bailywick and her should Safe Keep so that he might have her
body before the Justices of ^his Lordships^ Our County County Court to of Somersett ^to be held at Dividing Creek^ the third tuesday of June then
next to answer unto his Lordship Concerning a presentm.t against her found and that thereof he
should not fail &c                Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the sixteenth day of the same
month ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty four being the day of the return of the said
Writt Comes the said sherr and makes return thereof here Endorst vizt   Cepi Corpus P Joseph
MccClester Sherr      Whereupon the said Isabell Hust in her own proper person appears
and being sett to the Barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt her selfe of ye
premises says that of the premisses afd she is guilty thereof and submitts to the Mercy of the
Court and makes oath that a Certain James Meekins is the begetter of the Child she stand Indicted
for but hath not wherewith to pay her fine for the fact afd
       Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the said Isabell Hust be had to the
publick whiping post and there be whipt with fifteen Lashes on her bear Back well Laid on
untill the Blood appear and that she be taken &c thereupon as to the Corporall punishm.t afd
Command is given to the sherr of Somersett County that he do thereof Immediate Ex.n according to
ye Judgmt afd rendered by whiping the afd Isabel Hust at the publick whiping post with fifteen
Lashes on her bare Back well laid on untill the Blood appear and afterwards in the same Court
the sherr returns that he hath done the Execution of the Judgm.t afd as to the Corporall punishmt
afd he was Commanded
                                        Thereupon the said Isabell Hust is ordered to return home to
          her masters service he to return her to the County Court or sherr of the County when
          free &c

Somersett County fs:    The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord proprietary

of this province that now id for the Body of Somersett County upon their Oath do
                      present that Jane Duckett at Stepney Parish in the County afd Spinster the tenth day
    of February one thousand seven hundred and twenty two at the parish afd in the County afd within
    the Jurisdiction of this Court Committed fornication with a Certain man to the Jurors altogether
    unknown by means wherof afterwards that is to say the tenth day of November one thousand
