      June Court         1724                    190
John Purnall of Somersett County Gent: and one of the Coroners of the said County Brings into Court
a Certain Nathaniel Hopkins and offers him to the Court as his deputy is approved of he takeing the Severall
Oaths appointed by Law   thereupon the said Mat Hopkins took the severall oaths appointed by Law &
Subscribed the Oath of abjuration and test &c


    Whereas there was Certain articles or Conditions made agreed & Concluded upon by and Between a Certain
Cornelius Morris and a Certain Somersett Dickenson but the said Somersett Dickenson not Complying with the
Same agreem.t or Condition &c    Thereupon it ordered by the Court that the said Somersett Dickenson
give good security for the Performance of the same agreem.t or Conditions on his part to be performed
and Likewise to find and provide for the said Cornelius Morris and his wife all such Necessarys as might
be sufficient for aa maintain time dureing their Naturall Lives and Not suffer them to be abused &c
       Whereupon the said Somersett Dickenson together with Samuel Riggon and William Pepper
his securitys all present here in Court acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto
the said Cornelius Morris in the sum of fifty pounds sterr money Each to be Levied on the Bodys goods
and Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of the said Cornelius Morris Joyntly & Severally to be Levied &c
In Case the said Somersett Dickenson do not Comply with the agreem.ts or Conditions afd on his part
to be perform'd and that the said Cornelius Morris goe home with the said Somersett Dickson &c

    John Scarbrough appointed overseer of the roads in Mattapony hundred from Boquetannorton
road to John Popes Bridge &c

    Upon the mocon of a Certain Richard Philips will to a Certain the Orphans of Robert Crouch to have
their Estate the same being Likely to be wasted by a Certain Nathaniel Clough who Intermaried with the
mother of the said orphans &c Whereupon Its ordered by the Court that the said Richard Philips take
the Estate of the said Orphans into his Custody and Care untill such time as the said Nathaniel Clough who
Intermaried with the Mother of the said Orphans as afd shall appear and give good security for the
preservation of the Said Estate for the use of the Orphans &c

       Francis Allen of Somersett County Gentl.n is appointed overseer of the roads in Pocomok hundred
       in the stead of Edmond Dickenson that is to say to Clear the road from dividing Creek Bridge till he Comes
       within two Miles of Southy Whittingtons            and that he have the Liberty to appoint a deputy &c

of Stepney parish in the County afd Spinster the first day of may one thousand seven
hundred and twenty three at the County and parish afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court Committed
fornication with a Certain Person to the Jurors altogether unknown by means whereof the same Isabell
