to be Indebted to his Lords the sum of five pounds Curr.t money due to be Levied of his goods & Chattells Lands and tenements for the Use of his said Lordship &c The Condition of which Recognizance is such that if Peter Brown doe make his personall appearance before the Justices of our said County at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June next to give Evidence against William Cambell of the said County on Behalfe of his said Lordship then this Recognizance to be void Else to remain in full force & vertue in Law Jno Handy Whereupon the said Peter Brown on the third tuesday of June ann Dom one thousand seven hundred and twenty four altho' solemnly Called to give Evidence Comes not but makes default when &c Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the afd sum of five pounds Curr.t money so as afd Entered into by the said Peter Brown be forfeited to the said Lord proprietary to be Levied &c on the goods & Chattels Lands & tenements for ^of^ the said Peter Brown for the use of the said Lord prietary &c
George Chancellor appears according to their recognizance Entered into before Capt William Fasitt and Capt John Smith two of his Lordships Justices of the peace for the County afd for their good Behaviour and appearance at this Court and are accordingly discharged Whereupon a Certain John Holloway present here in Court prays that the said Isaiah Bredall may give New security for his & wifes good Beheaviour and Likewise that William Gray, Thomas Gray, Sarah Gray James Stevens Bredall & George Chancellor may give New Security for their good behaviour and appearance at Next Court and Makes Oath that he doth not require the Surtys of the Peace of them, through Malice but that he is afraid that they will doe him some Bodyly harm or burn his housing &c Thereupon it's Ordered by the Court that the said Isaiah Bredell give recognizance for his own good Beheaviour his wifes, W.m Gray, Thomas Gray, Sarah Gray, James Stevens Bredall & George Chancellor's fo and appearance at Next Court &c Thereupon the said Isaiah Bredall together with Robert Hodge his security both present in Court acknowledged themselves to owe & Stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship the right honourable ye Lord proprietary his heirs & successors that is to say the said Isaiah Bredall & Robert Hodge in five pounds ster Each to be Levied on their bodys (goods) |
