1724 184 his service thirteen days and prays the Judgm.t of the Court against the said Sibey Garrott for the runaway time afd Whereupon the Court do adjudge the said Sibey Garrott to serve her Said Master William Jones Eight days for one which amounts to one hundred and four days being full satisfaction for the runaway time afd Likewise the Court Doe adjudge the said Sibey Garrott to serve her said Master William Jones two full Month for two hundred pounds of tobo that he was Obliged to pay for takeing her up all which service to Commence at the End of the Indented time of the said Sibey Garrotts servitude & that the said Sibey Garrott return home to her said Masters service &c
seven hundred & twenty thirteen at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court Committed fornication ^with^ a Certain Person to the Jurors altogether unknown by means whereof the said Sarah afterwards to witt the tenth day of aprill One thousand seven hundred and fourteen at the parish afd in the County afd was delivered of a bastard Child against the peace of our said Lord proprietary his good rule & dignity and also against the form of the act of assembly in such Case made & provided &c Levin Gale P Dom Prop Sent up tot he Grand Jury by order of Court Test Sarah Atkinson, John Richardson, Benja Sirman, Alice Shiles, Alice Crokett, Hannah Burck On the Back of the foregoeing Bill it was thus Endorst Ignoramus W.m Turpin fore^man^ Whereupon the said Sarah Holbrook being Called appears to recognizance and prays that her appearance may be Enter which is granted & she accordingly discharged giveing security for paymt of the severall officers fees due upon the premisses afd Thereupon Thomas Holbrook her husband being present in Court undertakes for his wife and acknowledged himselfe to owe & Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship ye Lord proprietary in the Sum of ten pounds Ster to be Levied on his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of the Officers in Case he doth not pay the several officers their fees due by occasion of the premisses afd thereupon at the prayer of the said Sarah Holbrook She is discharged by proclamation made in Common form &c
being an Orphan Ought to be discharged from any service to any person upon his so arriving to his full age Notwithstanding he is still unjustly detained in servitude by Capt Nathaniell Hopkins Your petitioner humbly prays the premisses Considered your worships will offerd him releife thereupon according to Law and will discharge him from any further service he being ready to prove his being (of) |
