to be Levy free
To the worshipfull Justices of Somersett County Now in Court Sitting the humble petn
of Hannah Horsey humbly sheweth
                         Whereas your petitioner has a negro Man Stone Blind and is Like Contrive so by which
he is Rendered in a manner useless all that he Can do not being worth his victualls your Petition a few
days agoe had him before Cap.t Planner who Can Likewise acquaint your worships that what I here sett
forth in my Petition is really truth upon which I hope your worships will think it reasonable to sett
him tax free and your Petitioner as in duty Bound Shall Ever pray
           the petition afd being read & heard & the premises Considered      It's ordered by the Court that the
said Negro Man of the afd Hannah ^Horsey^ befor the future Levy free as by the Pet.n afd is praid &c

To the Worshipfull Justices of Somersett County Court Now Sitting       the humble pet.n
of Roger Woollford of Dorsett County most humbly sheweth
                      your Petitioner's Brother Levin Woollford of Somersett County died Intestate Leaving behind
him a wife and two female Children, the one being in England the other being here but an Infant
being not Capable to Chose her Guardiant the widdow of the dec.d since Married and the Estate duly
wasting so that in Short time it is Believed there will be Little Left for the Children and all the housing
and Other Repairs goe Wholy to distruction Contrary to an act of assembly for the securing of Infants
Estates   therefore your petitioners most humbly prays that your worships would be pleased to take
the Cause under your serious Considerations and appoint a guardiant of the next of Blood to the decd
by which the Estate arose that the reall and personall Estate may be Secured to the use of the Orphans
when at age according to Law and as in duty Bound will pray               Roger Woollford
    The petition afd being read & heard and the premisses Maturally Considered &c
             Whereupon the said Roger Woollford present here in Court is appointed by the same Court as
Guardiant of the reall Estate of the orphans of his Brother Levin Woollford decd Called Martha and
Mary Woollford according to Law &c

To the worshipfull Justices of Somersett County now in Court Sitting the petition of
William Alexander humbly Sheweth        Whereas your petitioner is possest of two tracts
             of Land Lying in Somersett County in Stepney parish at the head of wickacomoco Creek Called Munmoth
Containing fifty acres part of a tract of Land Called Winsor also fifty acres Called Munmoth being
part of Wallace Chance the Bounds whereof ^may^ in time become precarious   Your petitioner prays your
worships will be pleased to appoint Commissioners Psuant to the act of assembly made the 23d of September
1723 for proveing and perpetuating the bounds afd and your petitioner as in duty bound
shall pray            the petition afd being read & heard and fully Considered   Therefore it's ordered
by the Justices that a Commission ^Issue^ Out of this Court as by the pet.n afd is pray'd and that John Handy
George Dashiell, John Roach and Benja Cottman of Somersett County Genl are appointed Commissioners
to Execute the same Commission according to act of assembly in Such Case made & provided &c
