                                                                                        16                        March Cort  1722
       the foregoing writt was directed Likewise Comes and makes return thereof to the Court here Endorst in these words
       following viz.t  Cepi Joseph M.ccChester Sherr
                          Whereupon the said William Jones by francis Allen his attorney Comes and defends the force
       and Injury when &.c and offers himself against the said John Banister in the Plea afd But the said John Banister
       altho' solemnly Called Comes not nor is his writt in the Plea afd further Presented against the said Willm
       Jones
                                             Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the Nineteenth day of March Ann Dom
       One thousand seven hundred and twenty two that the said John Banister and his Pledges in Prosecuting be in
       mercy &c and lett the names of his said Pledges be sought for &c and that the said William Jones goe thereof with
       day and that Likewise it is Considered by the Justices here that the said William Jones recover against
(127)   the said John Bannister the sum of one hundred & forty seven
       Pounds of tob.o by the Court there adjudged unto him for his Costs and Charges by him about this defence in this
       Behalfe Laid Out and Expended according to the form of the statute &.c

 This being an action of trespass upon the Case &.c Wherein the sherr of Sommersett

County to whom the Writt in the same action was directed Comes and makes return
                            thereof to the Court here Endorst vizt   Cepi Joseph M.ccChester Sherr
                Whereupon the said Edmond Huggins long Called appears and thereupon ^the said Edward Huggin is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to ye action afd  Whereupon^ a Certain John Sharp
       of Somrsett County Planter Present here in Court undertaken for the said Edmond Huggins that in Case
       the said Robert Martin shall recover Judgm.t in the Plea afd against the said Edmond Huggins
       or that ye said Edmond Huggin shall be therein Convict that then he the said Edmond Huggin shall pay the
       Condemnation of the Court thereupon or render his Body to the Custody of the Sherr of Sommersett County
       in Satisfaction thereof or that he the said John Sharp will doe it for him thereupon the said Edmond
       Huggin by George Dashiel his attorney appears and Imparls this next Cort &c

Peter Colloway
 This being an action of trespass upon the Case &.c wherein the Sherriffe of Sommerset
to whom the writt is the same action was directed Comes and makes return thereof to
the Court here Endorst Vizt Cepi Jos: M.ccChester sherr
       Whereupon the said Peter Colloway Being Called appears and thereupon the said Peter Colloway
       at the Prayer of the Plft attorney is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd thereupon
       a Certain John Caldwell of Sommersett County Gent present herein Court undertakes for the said
       Peter Colloway that in Case the said Colloway ^Robert Martin^ shall recover Judgm.t in the Plea afd
       against the said Peter Colloway or that the said Peter Colloway shall be there in Convict that then
       the said Peter Colloway shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon [illegible]
       Custody of the Sher of Sommersett County in satisfaction thereof or that he the said [illegible]
       will do it for him thereupon the said Peter Colloway appears and Imparls unto next Cort


             Whereas There happened some difference Between Capt John Jones and Mr francis Allen
             and for as much as the said Allen had assented and abused the said Jones the said Francis
