       John Banister by Leven Gale his attorney Proceeded against the said William Jones in the plea afd
       as followeth viz.t      Somrsett ft    William Jones Late of Manokin in Somrsett Parish in the County
       Aforesaid Planter was attached to answer unto John Banister of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c
                               And Whereupon the said John by Levin Gale his attorney Complains that whereas the
       afd William the twelfth day of January One thousand seven hundred and twenty One was at Somrsett
       Parish afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court Indebted unto the Said John four pounds and Eight
       Pence Curr.t mony of maryland as by acco.t hereunto annexed may more fully and at Large appear
       the said William in Consideration thereof the day and year afd at the Parish afd within the afd Jurisdiction
       upon himself assumed and to ye said John faithfully Promised to pay him the afd Sum of four pounds
       and Eight pence Curr.t mony afd &.c when he should afterwards of him require it Nevertheless the
       afd William his promise and assumption afd in form afd made Little regarding but Plotting and
       fraudulently Intending the afd John in that Part Craftely and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the
       afd Sum of four pounds Curr.t mony of &.c or any Part thereof to ye afd Sum of four pounds
       was thereunto requested the Eighth day of february ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty
       two but he hitherto to pay it hath altogether refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the said John
       Eight pounds &.c and thereof he Brings suite &c
