Att which said next Court to witt the seventeenth day of march ann Dom One thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Come again as well the said Eliza Crouch adm.x as afd by her attorney afd as the said
Abraham Puckham by his attorney afd and the said Abraham Puckham by his said attorney as before
defends the force & Injury when &c       and saith that the declaration afd and the Matter in the same
Contained are not sufficient in the Law for the afd Elizabeth her action afd against him the afd Abraham
to have and maintain and that he to the declaration afd in manner and form afd made hath no
need nor by the Law of the Land is he held to answer and this he is Ready to verifie whereupon
he prays Judgm.t of the declaration afd and that the said decl.n may be quashed &c and according
for Causes of Demurer according to the form of the Statute in that Case Lately made and provided shews
to the Court here the reasons following viz.t  s.n for that the said Eliz.a hath not Sufficiently Entituled
herselfe to the action by her brought as supposed adm.rx of Robert Crouch dec.d she not setting
forth in the said decl.n that admrcon &c was to her granted nor by whom
Lastly the said declaration is defective in matter of substance & wants forme &c

             Whereupon the said Abraham Puckham by his attorney afd prays that the said Eliza Crouch
adm.rx as afd may answer to his plea of Demurer afd  But the said Elizabeth Crouch altho' Solemnly
Called Comes not nor to the Plea of Demurer of the afd Abraham further answereth nor is her decln
in the plea afd further Prosecuted against the said Abraham
             Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the seventeenth day of March ann Dom one
thousand seven hundred and twenty three afd that the said Elizabeth Crouch Admrx of the same
Robert Crouch and her pledges of Prosecuting be in mercy that is John Doe & Richard Roe be in mercy &c
and that the said Abraham Puckham goe thereof without day &c

 This being an action of trespass upon the Case &c wherein there Sherr of
Somersett County to whom the writt in the same action was directed Comes and
makes Return thereof to the Court here Endorst viz.t Cepi Corpus P Jos MccClester Sher

       Whereupon the said William Miles being Called appears and thereupon the Said William Miles at
       the prayer of the plft is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd thereupon a Certain
       Lazarus Maddux of Manocan in Somersett County Gentl: Present here in Court undertakes for the said
       William Miles that in Case the said Thomas Barker shall recover Judgmt in the plea afd against the said
       William Miles or that the said William Miles shall be therein Convict that then he the said William
       Miles shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or render his Body to the Costody of the
       Sherr of Somersett County in satisfaction thereof or that he the said Lazarus Maddux will do it
       for him   thereupon the said William Miles appears by George Dashiell his attorney appears & Imparls
       till next Court &c
