 Somersett County fs:  Abraham Puckham of Stepney parish in Somersett
County planter was attached to answer unto Elizabeth Crouch administratrix
of all and singular the goods and Chattles of Robert Crouch Late of said
County dec.d of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c
         And whereupon the Said Elizabeth in her Capacity afd P.r George Dashiell her attorney Complaines
that whereas the afd Abraham the twelfth day of December ann Dom One thousand seven hundred
and Eighteen at the parish and County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto the said
Robert in two pounds six shillings and one penny Curr.t money as p acco.t hereunto annext may in
Court appear and being so thereof Indebted as afd for and in Consideration afd the said Abraham the
day and year afd at the place afd did upon himselfe assume and promise that the said two pounds
six shillings and one penny to the said Robert when he should be thereunto requested he would well and
truly pay and Content Nevertheless the said Abraham the afd sum of two pounds six shillings and one
penney to the said Robert in his Life time to pay hath refused and to the said Elizabeth in her Capacity
afd (altho' often thereunto requested) the said two pounds six shillings and one penney the said Abraham
hath not paid but the same hitherto to pay hath refused and shee doth refuse to the damage of the said
Eliz.a in her said Capacity of four pounds twelve shillings two pence & thereupon She Brings Suite
and brings into Court her Letters adm.rn whereby &c    Dashiell P Quer Pledges &c Jno Do R Roe
December ye 12.th 1798         Abraham Puckham D.r to Robert Crouch
                  To Cloath for makeing a vest and Britches to one hat & makeing the vest & Britches
                  To our Earthen Pan
                  To one pair of Stockins

    And the said Abraham Puckham by Francis Allen his attorney Comes and defends the force and
Injury when &c and prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he that hath it and the
same day is given to the plft also
    Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of June Ann.o Dom One thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Come again as well the said plft by her as the said deft by their attorneys afd and the said
deft by his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it
and the same day is given to the plft also
    Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of August ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred
and twenty three Come again as well the said plft as the said deft by their attorneys afd and the said deft
by his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it
and the same day is given to the plft also
    Att which said next Court to witt the Ninteenth day of November ann Dom One thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Come again as well the said plft as the said deft by their attorneys afd & the said deft by
his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the
same day is given to the plft also
