148 Thomas Dashiell & Roger Nicholson Sen appears according to their Recognizance Entered into to give Evidence against William White and Benj.a Esom and are discharged therefrom &c Ordered by the Court that William White pay unto Thomas Dashiell the sum of Ninty pounds of tobacco being due unto him for his attendance three days as Evidence on behalfe of his Lordship the Lord proprietary against him ^the said William White^ he haveing made Oath to the same &c Ordered by the Court here that Benjamin Nesam Pay unto Thomas Dashiell the sum of Ninty pounds of tobacco being due unto him for his attendance three days as Evidence on Behalfe of his Lordship the Lord proprietary against him the said Benjamin Esom he haveing made oath to the same &c Ordered by the Court that Edward Chapman pay unto Abigaill Wright the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco being due unto her for attendance five days as an Evidence on Behalfe of the said Edward Chapman at Suite of his Lordship the Lord proprietary she haveing made oath to the same &c Upon the Petition of severall of the Inhabitants of the sea side in Somersett COunty to have a ferry Erected over the Indian River at the Plantation of a Certain Benjamin Aydolett &c Whereupon it is agreed upon by the Court that if a Certain William Grooms will Keep a publick ferry over the afd Indian River at the Plantation of the afd Benj.a Aydelett & find & provide a Sufficient Boat fitting to ferry horse & Man over the afd river &c that he shall be allowed for the same after the rate of fifteen hundred pounds of tobacco P the year And that Samuel Derickson Clear a road from S.t Martins Chapple to the afd ferry &c
day of March ann Dom one thousand seven hundred & twenty three the said Sam.l Long & William Long made their appearance & were accordingly discharged ^from their recognizance afd^ &c Whereupon It's ordered by the Court that the said Sam.l and William Long give New recognizance in fifty pounds ^Curr.t money^ for their appearance at dividing Creek ^in Somersett County afd^ the first tuesday of Aprill Next before the Justices of assize Nisi prius and Justices of Oyer & terminer and Goale delivery to give Evidence on Behalf of the said Lord Proprietary against the afd William Robinson & not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof &c Whereupon A Certain Jeffery Long of Somersett County Gentl: present herein Court undertakes for the said Samuel and William Long and acknowledged himselfe to Owe & Stand Justly Indebted on his said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs & successors in the sum of fifty pounds Curr.t money to be Levied on his body Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of his said Lordship In Case the said Sam.ll and William Long do not make their personall appearance at dividing Creek in Somersett County afd the third first tuesday of Aprill next before the Justices of assize Nisi prius and Justices of Oyer & terminer and Goal delivery and give Evidence on behalfe (of) |
