1723 124 is taken Ordered to give security to Comply with the Covenants afd &c Whereupon the said Daniall Cordery present here in Court acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the said Mary Warton in the sume of of twenty pounds Curr.t money to be Levied on her Body God Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of the said Mary Wharton In Case the said Daniell Cordery doth not Learn her to Read and housewifery dureing the time of her servitude afd and Likewise to find and provide for the said Mary Wharton all such Necessarys that should be fitting for her the said Mary Wharton to have & ware Likewise John Caldwell and John Pitts of Somersett County Gentl: present here in Court acknowledged themselfes to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Lordship the Lord Proprietary said Mary Wharton In the sume of ten pounds Curr.t money Each ^to be Levied on their Body Good or Chattells Lands or tenements^ in Case the said Daniell Cordery doe not Learn her to read and house wifery and to find her good and sufficient Necessarys for her the said Mary Wharton to have & ware dureing her servitude afd &c Whereas it was formerly Ordered by the Court that M.r John Caldwell should dispose of severall fines toward the repairing of the roads &c Now here at this day to witt Novr the Ninteenth day of ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three the said Caldwell Makes report to this Court that he hath more fines in his hand that then what is Laid Out on the roads afd thereupon it's Ordered by the Court that Capt John Jones and William Stoughton Esq.r settle & adjust accounts with the said Jno Caldwell in relation to the fines afd and the remains of the said fines to be appropriated to the repairing that Road as they the said John Jones & William Stoughton shall think most fitt & proper &c Ordered by the Court that Capt John MccClester & Mr John Handy view the road round Samuell fluellings fence and Likewise that they shall order where it shall stand and remain &c It's Likewise Ordered by the Court that Capt John MccClester & Mr John Handy view the road that where it hath been turned by John Goslins and if they doe not approve of the same to Order it accordingly &c Upon the Mocon of M.r John Caldwell to this Court for the repairing of the Bridges at the head of Wickacomoco vizt the Long Bridge & Cyprus Bridge &c It's thereupon Ordered by the Court that M.r John Handy & M.r John Caldwell goe & view the said Bridges and make their report to next Court &c
worships to fence the old feild beloe the Court house and your petitioner as in duty Bound shall Ever pray The petition afd being read & heard & Maturally Considered. Its therefore Ordered by the Justices that ye afd George Tull have Liberty to fence in the old feild afd beloe the Court house as by the petition afd is praid &c |
