122 by the Justices here that the said Mary Cooper be fined to his Lordship his heirs & successors thirty shillings for the fact afd thereupon the said Mary Cooper paid thirty shillings the fine afd to Capt William Plamer and thereupon the said Mary Cooper is accordingly discharged &c Ordered by the Court that the goods supposed to be stolen from Merrick Ellis & John Bannister of Somersett County Gentl: by Mary Cavanough be Lodged in the hands of Hugh Porter untill next Court
petitioner prays your worship's that he may be tax free this Year & your petitioner as in duty Bound shall Ever pray Robt Hardy the petitioner afd being read and heard and ye Premisses Considered Its Considered by the Justices that the Negro afd of the afd Robert Hardy be for the future Levy free for so long a time as he shall be able to Labour &c Peter Johnson allowed twelve hundred pounds of tobo for the Keeping Andry Davis a poore man & finding him sufficient Necessarys &c Ordered by the Court that George Jerman be allowed the sum of four hundred pounds of tobacco for the Keeping Abraham Highways Child four months &c
thousand seven hundred and twenty three at Stepney parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and arms at ye parish and County afd one pair of Wosted Stockins of the value of four shillings Curr.t money of the Goods and Chattles of a Certain Joseph Wailes then and there being found then and there feloniously took stole and Careyed away against the peace &c and also against the form of an act of assembly of this province in such Case made and provided Tazewell Clk Indictmts Test Jos: Wailes On the Back of the foregoeing Bill of Indictmt it was thus Endorst vizt Billa Vera James Mackmorie foreman Thereupon Command was Given the Sherr of Somersett County that he should take the said George Gurley of Stepney parish in the County of somersett planter if he should be found in his Bailywick and him should safe Keep so that he might have his Body Immediately before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett now sitting at Dividing Creek to answer unto his said Lordship Concerning the the Bill of Indictm.t abovesaid And that thereof he should not fail &c Whereupon the said Sherr to witt Joseph Macclester Gentl: Brings into Court the Said George (Gurley) |
