    time by them appointed to Inspect the said Causway and value the same and make their report thereof
to the next Court &c

    William Bomton appointed Overseer of the roads in Stead of Thomas Gordon &c

       Upon the petition of M.r Nathaniel Hopkins for to have some allowance for the Keeping William Kent &c
                   It's Ordered by the Court that the Said Nathaniel Hopkins be allowed the sume of four hundred pounds
       of tobacco for the Keeping of the said William Kent from the second day of may Last till this day and
Likewise that the said William Kent have his former allowance &c

Ordered by the Court that Mathew Dorman Clear a road from the New Bridge Neare Coll Ballards plantation
at the head of manocan to the ^Manocan^ Bride and that he have Coll Ballards hands and James Laws to assist in Clearing
of the said Road &c

    Ordered by the Court that Charles Young be appointed Overseer of the roads in Stead of John Hofington
and that M.r John Handy and M.r James Dashiell appoint him his Labourers &c

    Robert Hill appointed by the Court as pressmaster for the County of Somersett for the Ensueing Year on
the Sea board side of the said County &c

          John Denwood appointed Presmaster in the County of Somersett on the Bay side for the Ensueing Year &c

Benjamin Shoverton an Orphan Boy is Bound by the Court unto Benjamin Esome untill
he arrives to the afd of twenty One Years he being One Year Old the said Benjamin Shoverton
to serve the said Benjamin Esome the full term of time afd  In Consideration of which
          Service the said Benjamin Esome promise to Learn the said Benjamin Shoverton the trade of
          a house Carpenter and to give him a years Schooling when he shall arrive to fifteen Years ^of age^ and a new suite
          of apparell at the Expiration of his Servitude &c    Thereupon it Ordered by the Court that the said
          Benjamin Esome Give Security in fifty pounds with on Security to Comply with the Covenants afd &c
                   Whereupon the said Benjamin Esome together with James Bounds his security present here in
Court acknowledged themselves to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto the Said Benjamin Esome Shoverton
his heirs and assigns in the full and Just Sum of fifty pounds Currt money to be Levied on the Bodys Goods
or Chattles Lands or tenements to the Use of the said Benjamin Shoverton in Case the said Benjamin Esome
doth not Comply with the Covenants afd &c
