Caroline County to wit  Be it remembered that on
this twenty third day of June in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eleven I delivered to Negro
Perry a Certificate as follows  Vizt

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit  Whereas
Negro Perry heretofore to wit on the twenty seventh
day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and ninety one was manumitted by Benjamin
Blunt of Caroline to be free and at liberty
on the first day of January in the year eighteen hundred
and six as by the said manumission reference
being thereto had will appear and by the Oath of the
said Benjamin Blunt that the said negro Perry is the
identical person who was manumitted by him as
aforesaid.  I do hereby Certify that from the Evidence
of Mr Blunt who set him free that the said negro
man called Perry is about twenty five years of
age five feet four Inches high very Black complexion
was raised in Caroline County has two
small scars on his forehead and no other notable
marks which I can discover.  In Testimony whereof
I have hereto set my hand and affixed the public
seal of my office this twenty third day of April
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eleven                                 Tho Richardson Clk
