Caroline County to wit   I certify that I delivered to Negro
Doll the Eighth day of November Eighteen hundred &
ten a certificate a copy of which is as follows Viz.t

             State of Maryland Caroline County to wit
    Whereas a certain negro woman named Doll heretofore
to wit on the twenty third day of December Seventeen hundred
and ninety nine was manumitted by Sarah Hardcastle
and Solomon Kenton of Caroline County to be free from and
after the first day of January Eighteen hundred and one
as by the said manumission remaining of Record in
Caroline County Court reference being thereto had will
appear.  And whereas the said negro woman named Doll
hath made application to me for a certificate of her
freedom agreeably to Law the act of assembly and upon
the affirmation of Solomon Kenton that the said negro
woman named Doll from is the identical person who
was manumited as aforesaid  I do hereby certify that
the said negro woman named Doll from the age expressed
in the said manumission is forty one years of age is
five feet high has a scar on her right shin a flesh
moal on her chin has a Scar on the back part of her
hand and one other scar on her arm of her right arm
and no other particular marks which I can discover
                         In Testimony whereof I hereto set
                         my hand and affixed the public seal of my
    (Seal)            office this eighth day of November in the year
                         of our Lord Eighteen hundred and ten
