five feet one and a half Inches high of a Black Complexion was
raised in Delaware State has no notable marks which
I can discover supposed from the Oath of Mr Blunt to be
thirty years of age or thereabouts.   In Testimony whereof
(seal)   I have hereto set my hand and affixed the public
         seal of my office this thirteenth day of September in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine

Caroline County ss.t  Be it remembered that on the thirteenth day
of September Eighteen hundred and nine I delivered to negro
Rachel a Certificate a Copy of which is as follows

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit.  Whereas a certain
woman named Rachel heretofore to wit:  On the twenty seventh
day of August seventeen hundred and ninety one was manumited
by Benjamin Blunt of Caroline County to be free from
and after the first day of January Eighteen hundred and two
as by the said manumission remaining of Record in
Caroline County Court reference being thereto had will
appear:   And whereas the said negro woman Rachel
hath made application to me for a Certificate of her freedom
agreeably to the act of Assembly and upon the Oath of
M.r Benjamin Blunt that the said negro woman named
Rachel is the Identical person who was manumited as
aforesaid:  I do hereby Certify that the said negro woman
named Rachel is five feet two Inches high of a Black
Complexion was raised in the State of Delaware has no
notable marks which I can discover  Supposed by the Oath
of M.r Blunt to be from twenty five to thirty years of age
In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and
(seal)   affixed the public seal of my office this thirteenth day of
       September in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and nine
