Caroline County to wit:  Be it remembered that on this thirtieth day of September
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six I delivered to negro
Luranah in the following Certificate mentioned a Certificate of which the
following is a true Copy to wit

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit:  Whereas negro Luranah
heretofore on the twenty fifth day of April seventeen hundred and ninety
nine manumitted by John Hooper of Caroline County to be free from
that time hence forward and forever more as by the said manumission
reference being thereto had will appear and being satisfied that the said
negro Luranah is the identical person who was manumitted as
aforesaid.  I do hereby Certify that from the age expressed in the said
manumission that the said negro woman called Luranah is about
nineteen years of age five feet three inches and an half high black
Complexion was raised in Caroline County near Potters Landing has a
very small Scar on the left arm near her elbow occasioned by the bite
of a Dog   and no other notable marks which I can discover.  In
          Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the Public
(Seal) seal of my Office this thirtieth day of September Anno Domini
          one thousand eight hundred and six.  Tho. Richardson Clk of
          Caroline County Court


Caroline County to wit:  Be it remembered that on the tenth day of January
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven.  I delivered
to negro Ben in the following Certificate mentioned a certificate of which the
following is a true Copy to wit.

The State of Maryland Caroline County to wit, Whereas negro Ben
heretofore on the seventeenth day of March seventeen hundred and ninety
one was manumitted by Richard Loockerman of the State and County
aforesaid to be free and at perfect liberty in January eighteen hundred
and seven as by the said manumission reference being thereto had will
appear and by the Oath of M.r Edward O Clarke that the said negro
Ben is the identical person who was manumitted as aforesaid.  I do hereby
