21 is twenty five years of age has a very dark Complexion born in Caroline County and no notable marks which I can discover In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the public seal of my office this twefth day of January Eighteen hundred and Eight Error Tho Richardson Clk Caroline County Court Caroline County to wit Be it remembered that on the twelfth day of January 1808 I delivered to Negro Will the following Certificate State of Maryland Caroline County to wit Whereas a Certain Negro man by the name of Will heretofore to wit on the Seventh day of March Seventeen hundred and ninety one was manumitted by M.r Richard Lockerman of Caroline County his freedom to commence and take effect on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and Eight as by the said Manumission Remaining of Record in Caroline County will appear And whereas the said Negro man called Will hath made application to me for a Certificate of his freedom agreeable to an act of Assembly Upon the oath of Jacob Lockerman that the said Negro man Called Will is the Identical person who was manumitted as aforesaid I do hereby Certify that the said Negro man Called Will is five feet one inch and an |
