half high and from M.r Jacob Lockermans statement
to me he is about twenty five years of age has a
very dark Complection born in Caroline County and no
notable markes which I can discover

In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed
the public seal of my office this twelfth day of January
Eighteen hundred and Eight

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit whereas
a Certain Mulatto Man by the name of Aaron
Coker heretofore to wit on the fifth day of January
in the year of our Lord Anno Domini one thousand
eight hundred and ninety six was manumitted
by George Martin to be free at the expiration of four
years from the date hereof or from and after the
fifth day of January one thousand Eight hundred
as by said manumission Referance being had
thereto will appear and whereas the said
mulatto man called Aaron Coker hath made
application to me for a Certificate of his
freedom agreeable to an act of Assembly upon
the Oath on James Byron Esquire that the said
mulatto man called Aaron Coker is the
identical person who was manumitted as afsd
I do hereby Certify that the said mulatto man
called Aaron Coker is five feet eight and one
half Inches High has a Bald head and a
small scar on the right side of his head Just
in the edge of his wool about two Inches
above his ear has also a small scar
on the upper Joint of his left hand and
from the age expressed in the aforesaid
manumission he is about thirty Eight
years of age was raised in Caroline
