upon the Oath of M.r Edward Oldham Clarke that
the said negro woman called Eve is the identical person
who was manumitted as af.d  I hereby Certify that the
said negro woman called Eve is five feet high and from
the age expressed in the manumission afd she is about 28
years of age of a dark Complexion was raised in Caroline
County has a Scar on her right foot (crosswise) Just above
her toe which she says she cut with an ax and she also
has some small scars on her arm which are not very notable
and no other notable marks which I can discover
                In Testimony whereof I have hereto
    (Seal)   set my hand and affixed the Public seal
                of my Office this 30th day of June 1807

                                                    Caroline County Court


On the 1 day of July 1807 I delivered Negro John
a Certificate of which the following is a copy
Caroline County to wit  Whereas application hath been
made to me by Negro John for a Certificate of his freedom
and by the Oath of Mr Anthony Ross that the
said Negro is the Identical person who was manumitted
by a certain Anthony Ross on the 8th day of September
1804 to be free on the first day of January 1805
I Certify that from the age expressed in said manumission
the said John is about 36 years of age
5 feet 8 Inches high stout and well made rather
Dark complexion was raised in Caroline County has
a scar just above his left eye and no other notable marks
In Witness whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the
