eighteen hundred and seven as by the said manumission
remaining of record in Caroline County will appear; And
Whereas the said negro man called Dublin hath made application
to me for a Certificate of his freedom agreeable to act of
Assembly Upon the Oath of Doct.r Robert Stevens that the
said negro man called Dublin is the identical person who was
manumitted as af.d  I do hereby Certify that the said negro
man called Dublin is five feet two inches and an half high
stout and well made and from the age expressed in the manumission
af.d he is about thirty one years of age he is of a
black Complexion was raised in Caroline County has a
Scar on his right cheek about 2 or 2½ inches long running
partly crosswise 2 Very Small on his left knee and no other
notable marks which I can discover.  In Testimony
Whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the Public
seal of my office this 12th day of June Anno Domini

On the 16 day of June 1807 a copy of the following Certificate
was delivered to negro Jane

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit:  Whereas negro
Jane this day manumitted by andrew Beachamp of Caroline
County her freedom to commence and take effect from
the date hereof as by the said manumission remaining of
record in Caroline County will appear and whereas the said
Negro woman called Jane hath made application
to me for a Certificate of her freedom agreeably to an
act of assembly upon the Oath of andrew Beachamp
that the said negro woman called Jane is the Identical
