       Maryland Caroline County to wit:      I Robt J Jump
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Caroline County hereby
certify that by the oath of Benjamin Ayers has
been proven satisfactory to me that the bearer
hereof a mulatto man named Isaac Gibson
aged about 45 years five feet ten & three quarter
inches high of a mullatto Complexion with a
small scar on the right cheek & a scar on the
right arm between the shoulder & Elbow was born
free & raised in Caroline County
                In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe
            my name and affix the seal of the
(seal)   Circuit Court for Caroline County this 19th
           day of December 1857

Maryland Caroline County to wit   I Robert J Jump Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Caroline County hereby certify that by the oath
of Richard O Hicks has been proven to my satisfaction that John
Mason aged about twenty two years five feet seven and a half
inches high of a black complexion with a small scar over the left
eye and one near the first joint of the thumb on the left hand was
born free and raised in Caroline County      In Testimony whereof
I hereunto subscribe my name and affix the seal of the Circuit
(seal)  Court for Caroline County this 19th day of December 1857
