            of my office this 17th day of May anno Domini 1830

State of Maryland Caroline County to wi;  whereas heretofore to wit on the second
day of June in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and two a certain Charles Blair
by Deed of Manumission duly executed acknowledged and recorded among the Land
records of caroline county did manumit and set free a certain negro girl named
Annice to be free from and after the first day of January eighteen hundred and
twenty one and the said negro girl named Annice having made application to me
for a certificate of her freedom agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made
and provided and whereas also upon the Testimony of Doctor John Stevens of Talbot
County that the said negro girl named Annice for whom this certificate is made is
the same person mentioned in the said manumission I do therefore grant her
said application and hereby certify that from her age as expressed in the said
manumission she will be twenty nine years of age the second day of June
next five feet and one quarter of an inch high or thereabouts was born in
^Caroline^ Talbot and raised in Caroline ^Talbot^ county of a Brown complexion has a long scar of a
scratch on the left arm extending from the middle of the back of her wrist
more than half way to her elbow and another scar of a cut just above her left elbow
and another scar above the last on  the same arm caused as she says by the bite of a
spider of an oval form and as large or larger than half a Dollar and no other
notable marks or scars that I have observed

Abel Yowty by Deed of manumission duly executed acknowledged and recorded among
the Land records of Caroline County did manumit and set free a certain negro
man named Joseph to be free from and after the sate of the said manumition
and the said negro man named Joseph having made application to me for a
certificate of his freedom agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and
