   98                                        June Court 1718
     After which Charles Smith and Benjamin Bond both of Said County Comes
   into Court And Acknowledges themselves Joyntly and Severally Special bail in
   the afd Accõn and they and either of them do undertake for the afd Deft the
   payment of the Debt. afd and Cost thereon accruing if it Should happen that
   the Said Deft Shall be Cast in the Same and the Condemnation Shall not Satisfie
   nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf. of Said County deliver or that the afd Charles
   Smith and Benjamin Bond or either of them the body of the Said Deft Shall
   not render &ca
   and the afd Deft in his proper person appears to the afd Accõn and Saith
   that he cannot gainsay the Accõn afd of him the Said Plaintife nor but
   that the wrighting obligatory abovementioned is his Act and deed and that
   he oweth unto the afd Plt the afd Sume of Eight hundred and four pounds
   of Tobacco and is willing that Judgment Should be entered against him
   for the Same Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this Nine:
  :teenth day of June Annoq Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and
   Eighteen That the afd Plt Michael Byrne Recover against the Said —
   Deft Peter Williams as well the afd Sume of five hundred and Seventy
   pounds of Tobacco and the Sume of Two hundred thirty fourt pounds of——
   Tobacco the Cost afd which in the whole amounts to the Sume of Eight— .
   hundred and four pounds of Tobacco Debt as also the Sume of Two hundred
   ninety three pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute in this
   behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged and the
   Said Deft in mercy &ca
