92 June Court 1718 the afd Robert Lynch as followeth vizt. In all things Served and Executed pr S:Wilmer Sherf ordered by the Court here that the afd Robert Lynch return to his Masters Service and at the Expiration of his time he be delivered up to the Court: by his then Master JamsSmith Clk Robert Lynch being Committed unto the Custody of the Sherf of Said County the first of this Court as by the proceedings may appeare The Same aprs. in his proper person in Court and prays to be discharged ordered that he be discharged Robert Lynch afd being Committed into the Custody of the Sherf of Said County This Court here discharges him from the Same Committment &ca Timothy Slauter as an Evide on the Same Entered into Recoge. at the Same time afd to Attend this Court the Same aprs. in his proper person at this day in open Court. ordered that he be discharged &ca Timothy Slauter afd Entered into Recognizance in the Sume of five pounds Sterlg to attend this Court as an Evide on his Lord Ships behalfe agst. the afd Robert Lynch and a Certain Thomas Cooke: and now at this day This Court here discharges the afd Timothy Slauter from the Sume Recognizance
being by vertue of a certain Indenture then & now in force possessed of a certain orphan boy named Edward Carrell to keep & maintain the Said orphan boy after the manner of an apprentice from the date of the Said Indenture Specified & abovementioned for and untill the Said orphan Should arrive to the age of one & Twenty Years in which Said Terme & Space last menconed the Said John Taning the Said orphan boy Should teach & instruct or procure to be taught & instructed in the Art or Mistrery of a house Carpenter & what other trades he could do & Should keep the Said orphan boy to the trade afd for and during the [sd Terme & Sp]ace in the Said Indenture mencõned for the time of Serviture & not to turn or oblige the Said orphan boy to work or labour at any other employment then in the Said Indenture mentioned Yet the Said John the Said orphan boy hath not taught or procured to be taught his trade but at St Pauls Parish in the County afd & within the Jurisdiciõ of this Court hath turned and kept the Said orphan boy to other work & Labour then mentioned in the afd Indenture to the great damage of the Said Edward against the peace of our Said Lord propr. his Rule & dignity & against the forme of an Act of Assembly of this province now in force in Such Cases made & provided &ca. Johnson prDno prprietr. Billa vera pr Abram Redgrave foreman and the afd John Faning being Solemnly called came and in his proper person |
