   he have then and there the Said precept &ca. Att which Said next Court~
   vizt. the Seventeenth day of June Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred
   and Eighteen the day of return of Said precept~ came Simon Wilmer Gent~
   high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon—
   Endorsed as folls vizt. Summoned
                                                             pr S:Wilmer Sherf    —————
     And the afd Deft~. being called came and in his proper person——
   appeared to the Same . And the Indictment afd being read to him as
   afd Saith that he Submits to the Same and prays that the Court~.
   will favour him in the Judgment: Therefore it is Considered by
   the Court here vizt. this Eighteenth day of June Anno Domini one
   Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen That the afd Joseph Milby
   being the Sume of Six pence Sterling for his offence in not perform:
  :ing his office afd to the use of the Lord proprietarie and also pay
   the Sume of four hundred and Twelve pounds of Tobo. Cost arising on
   the premises afd to the officers of this Court &ca

   His Lordship | Kent County Ss The Jurors for the Lord proprietarie
           at | & the body of Kent County on their Oath do present That
   Ann Bryan | Ann Bryan of Kent County in the Province of Maryland

Spinster Servant to the Reverend Mr. Alexander —
   Williamson of Said County the first day of February in the year of our Lord
   one thousand Seven hundred & Seventeen at the Parish & County afd &
   within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court the fear of God before her Eyes
   not having but by the Instigation of the Devil did comit fornication
   with a Certain Man to the Jurors unknown & thereby did Suffer her
   Selfe to be gott with Child to the high Displeasur of Almighty God
   to the Evill & prenicious Example of others and against the peace
   of our Said Lord proprietarie his Rule & dignity and against the
   forme of an Act of Assembly of this Province in Such Cases made and
   provided                                                    Johnson pr Dño propr —
    on the back of the preceeding Bill was Endorsed as folls vizt. True bill
   William Boyer foreman—
   And now at this Court viz this Eighteenth day of June Anno Domi
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen Came the afd Ann Bryan
   in her proper person Appeared to the afd Indictment and the Same
   being read to her as afd To which the afd Ann Bryan Saith that
