86 June Court 1718 at Langfords Bay upper Hundred in the County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court Joseph Milby late of St. Pauls Parish in the County of Kent afd Labourer Constable of our Said Lord proprietarie for Langford Bay upper hundred in the County afd negligently in the Business of our Said Lord propr. to his office afd belonging & appertaining at the Hundred afd in the County afd did behave himselfe & divers precepts and mandates by the Justices of our Said Lord propr. to keep the peace in the County afd as also divers felonies trespasses & other Misdeeds within the County afd perpetrated to hear & determine assigned to him directed within the Hundred afd to be performed to perform & fullfill hath neglected against the peace of our Said Lord propr. his Rule & dignity &ca. Johnson pr Dno propr. Evide. Arthr Miller on the back of the preceeding bill was Endorsed as folls vizt. True bill pr me John Evans foreman Thereupon Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the Twenty Second day of November in the third year of his Lordships Dominion &ca. That he cause Joseph Milby late of St. Pauls Parish in the County of Kent afd Labouer if he Should be found in his Bailywick that all Excuses & delays be Sett apart he be & personally appear before the Justices of our next County Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto to Answer unto a Certain bill of Indictment found against him for negligently behaveing himselfe in the business of our Said Lord proprietarie as Cunstable of Langfords Bay upper hundred in the County afd And that he have then and there the Said precept &ca. Att which Said next Court~ vizt. the Eigthteenth day of March the Same year last mentioned the day of return of Said precept~. came Simon Wilmer Gent~. high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Sumd pr S:Wilmer Sherf. Att which Said Court the afd Joseph Milby being called came not~. on which this Court orders that veniry made out against the Same returnable to the next Court~. Likewise Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County the Twenty first day of March in the third year of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca.
