Return of Sd Writt Endorst Cepi Corpus^prSimon Wilmer Sheriff. Kent County Sst. The Jurors for the honble: the Ld Propry: and the Body of Kent County on their oath do present that Edward Dwire late of South Sassafrax hundred Yeoman the twenty the third day of December in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand Seven hundred and Nineteen at South Sassa: frax upper hundred afd. in Shrewsberry parish in Kent County within the Juris diction of this Court about Eleven of the Clock in the forenoon in the Same day the dwelling house of a Certain William Davis Carpenter at the hundred parish and County afd & within the Jurisdiction afd did brake and Enter and three Rasors of the value of three Shillings Sterg. one knife and fork of the value of twelve pence Sterg. one pair of men’s leather Gloves of the value of [three?] Shillings Sterling of the Goods and Chatles of the Sd William Davis then and there being found felloniously did take and bear away against the peace of our Sd Ld Propry his Rule and Dignity and against the form of an act of Assembly of this province now in force in Such Case made and provided Evidences Susanna Edwards DMacbride pr Ld propry Sutton Burgin Daniell Perkins On the Back of the preceeding Indictment was Endorst as folls vizt. Billa Vera Abram Redgrve foreman. For want of The in the afd Indictment the words Vi & Armis^ the Court Quashes the Indictment So that all pre= ceedings thereupon Cease but that he pay ye fees thereon Amounting to two hundred [illegible] pds of Tobo- Ordered that the Sd Edward Dwire Enter into Recognizance with Sufficient Securities for his appearance County on Suspicion of feloniously breaking up the house of a cer= tain William Davis and feloniously Stealing Goods out of the same upon which The afd Edward Dwire acknowledges himself Indebted to his Lordship the Ld Proprietary of this province his heires and Successors in the Summ of Twenty pounds Sterling money to be leveyed on his Goods & Chatles Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if he does not make his personall appearance at next Court to be held for Kent County to answere Unto what Shall be objected against him on behalf of of his Lordship afd. in relation to his feloniously breakeing the house and fel: loniously Stealing the Goods of the afd.
