   the 29^th: day of July anno Domⁱ 120 af^d. That the af^d. Peter Green as to
   the af^d. Indictment goe thereof without day and that he be there from acquitted
   but that the S^d Peter Green Shall pay the Summ of Seven hundred and fifty Eight
   —————————— pounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged to him
   for his Costs and Charges accrueing on the premisses af^d. to the officers of this Court

a^t	\|	Commenced by the S^d L^d. Prop^ry: against the S^d.
Mary Bateman	\|	Mary Bateman. And wherein the Sheriff of Kent
		County to whome the Writt in the S^d. Accõn was

                                                                                           viz^t. the 21^st day of S^d month
   directed Makes Return to the Court here on the third teusday in June^ Anno
   Domⁱ 1720 being the day of Return of S^d Writt Endorst Cepi Corpus p^r
   Simon Wilmer Sheriff
        Kent County Ss^t. The Jurors for the Hon^ble: the L^d propr^y. and the
   Body of Kent County on their oath do present that Mary Bateman
   wife of a Certain Christopher Bateman late of Chester hundred the fifteenth
   day of February in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand Seven hundred
   and Nineteen at Chester hundred af^d. in S^t Paules parish in Kent County
   within the Jurisdiction of this Court and at diverse other times and places
   the fear of God before her Eyes not haveing but by the Instigation of
   the Devill Adultry did Committ with a Certain Peter Green to the high
   displeasure of Almighty God to the evill and pernicious Example of others
   Against the peace of our S^d L^d prop^ry his Rule and Dignity and against the
   form of an Act of Assembly of this province now in force in Such Case made
   and provided                                                                   DMacbride p^r L^d prop^ry
      Evid Geo: Hastings James Watson
      On the Back of the preceeding Indictment was Endorst as foll^s Viz^t.
   Billa Vera Abra^m Redgrave foreman
           And the af^d. Mary Bateman in her proper person Comes and defends
   the force and Injury when &c and appear to the Indictment af^d. And the af^d
   David Macbride Clerk of the Indictments Comes into Court and Saith that he
   hath not Sufficient Evidence to prove the p^rmisses in the af^d. Indictment, upon
   which by Consent of the Court he Enters that the S^d Indictment be no further
   prosecuted, and that all proceedings thereon Cease but that the S^d Mary Bate=
   :man pay the fees on the Same Indictment amounting to three hundred and Nine
   pounds of Tobacco
      Ordered That the Sher^f of S^d County keep the af^d Mary Bateman in Safe Custody untill y^e fees af^d amount:
   ing to three hundred and Nine pounds of Tobacco
        Whereupon Christopher Bateman her Husband p^rsent here in       Jam^s Smith Clk
   Court Says that he will pay the fees af^d. amounting to the af^d Sum
   of three hundreed and Nine pounds of Tob^o. to whom the Same is due
