   Court here on the third Teusday in June vizt. the 21st day of Sd Month Anno
   Domi 1720. being the day of Return of Sd Writt Endorst Cepi Corpus pr Simon
   Wilmer Sheriff.
        Kent County Sst. The Jurors for the Honble: Proprietary and the Body of
   Kent County on their Oath do present that Peter Green late of Chester hun
   dred Planter the fifteenth day of February in the Year of our Lord Christ one
   Thousand Seven hundred and Nineteen at Chester hundred afd. in St. pauls pa=
   rish in Kent County within the Jurisdiction of this Court and at diverse other
   times and places as well before as after the fear of God before his Eyes not
   haveing but by the Instigation of the Devill Adultry did Committ with a Cer=
   tain Mary Bateman wife of a Certain Christopher Bateman to the high
   displeasure of Almighty God To the Evill and pernicious Example of others
   against the peace of our Sd. Ld Propry: his Rule and Dignity and against the form
   of an act of Assembly of this province now in force in Such Case made and
   provided                                                              DMacbride pr Ld propry
   Evid: James Watson, George Hastings.
      On the Back of the preceeding Indictment was Endorst as folls vizt:
        Billa Vera Abram Redgrave foreman.
   The Said Peter Green Pleads not Guilty and for Tryal puts himself on God &
   the Country                 Peter Green in propr: person
           And he who follows for the Ld: propry: in like manner Says he is Guilty
                                                                                 DMacbride pr Ld propry:
   Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriff of Kent County
   That he Immediatly Cause to Come Twelve &c by whome &c who neither &c. To
   Recognize &c. Because as well &c of which precept the Sd Sheriff now here
   at this day Vizt the 29th: day of July Anno Domi 1720 makes Return
   that he hath here twelve &c As by the Sd precept he was Commanded, and
   now here afterwards vizt: the day and year last mentioned Comes as well
   the Sd Lord proprietary by his Clerk of Indictments as also the Sd. Peter
   Green and Stands at the Barr. And the Jurors of that Jury being Impa=
   :nelled, who being Called likewise Came Vizt: William Graves Thomas
   Piner Arthur Foreman Mathew Piner Thomas Jones Thomas Boots James
   Piner Thomas Ricker Daniel Cooley Rice Jones George Murphett
   Robert Meeks who being truely Elected tryed and Sworn to Say the
   truth, in the premisses, Upon their oath do Say at the Barr that the Sd.
   Peter Green is not guilty as he Stands Indicted and by William Graves
   their Foreman all So Say Therefore it is Considered by the Court here
