in June vizt the 21st day of Sd Month Anno Domi 1720 being the day of Return of Sd Writt Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sheriff. Kent County Sst The Jurors for the honble: the Ld Proprietary & the Body of Kent County on their oath do present that Elizabeth Baker wife of a Certain Molatto man called Anthony Baker late of Easter neck hundred the tenth day of october in the Year of our Lord Christ one thous= and Seven hundred and Nineteen at Easter Neck hundred afd. in St pauls Parish in Kent County within the Jurisdiction of this Court and at diverse other times the fear of God before her Eyes not haveing but by the Instiga= tion of the Devill Adultry did Committ to the high displeasure of Almighty God against the peace of our Sd Lord propry his rule and dignity and against the form of an Act of assembly of this province now in force in Such Case made and provided Evid. Fred Hanson Edwd Davis DMacbride pr Ld propry. and William Robarts On the Back of the preceeding Indictment was Endorst as folls vizt. Billa Vera Abram Redgrave foreman And the afd. Elizabeth Baker in her proper person Comes and De= fends the force and Injury when &c. and appears to the afd. Indictmt. And the afd. David Macbride Clerk of the Indictments Comes into Court and Saith that he hath not Sufficient Evidence to prove the prmisses in the afd Indictment Upon which by Consent of the Court he Enters that the Sd Indictment be no further prosecuted and that all proceedings thereon Cease but that the Sd Elizabeth Baker pay the fees on the Same Indictment amounting to three hundred and Sixty Eight pounds of Tobacco Jams Smith Clk
