                                    June Court 1720                                     503
   At which Sd next Court vizt. the 21st day of June anno Domi 1720
   Comes as well the afd Bennett Lowe by his Sd Attorney as the af —
   Robert Macay in his proper person and the Sd Robert Macay Saith that
   he cannot gainsay the afd. Bennett Lowe his action afd. So as against him brought
   nor can he Say but that the Said Bennett Lowe ought to recover his debtages by oc=
   casion of the premises afd. to the Summ of one thousand and Eighty four pounds of
   Tobacco with Cost of Suit against him which the Sd pltf doth not gainsay
        Therefore it is Considered by the Court here the 28th: day of July anno
   Domi 1720 afd. that the afd. Bennett Lowe Recover against the afd Robert
   Macay as well the Summ of one thousand and Eighty four pounds of Tobacco
   his debt afd. in form afd. Confessed as also the Summ of two hundred and
   fourty —————————— pounds of Tobacco by the Court here
   adjudged to him for his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in this be=
   halfe laid out and expended and the Deft in mercy &c

   Ld: Ship —— | Indictment for assault and Battery on David Macbride the afd Thomas
            at | Bowne and John Astle appear to the Same and thereupon it is Continued
   Thomas Bowne |
   and John Astle      |
   Lordship —— | Indictment for felloniously Stealing a horse on which Writs hath
             —– | Issued against him that he might answer the Same but the Writt re=
                at | turnable to this Court against him vizt on the 21st day of June Anno
   Edward Skinner   | Domi 1720 the Sheriff of Sd County Came and made Return thereof
   Endorst Non est Inventus pr Simon Wilmer Sheriff but now at the Same Court Came the afd. Edward
   and appeard to the afd. Indictment and to the Same pleads not Guilty and thereon Issue is Joyned on the Country
   Verdict brought in that the Sd Edward was Guilty upon which Thomas Bowne Councill for the Sd Edward
   Skinner moved In Arrest of Judgement of the Verdict of the Jury against the Sd Edward which was
   granted and reasons being fild accordingly upon which the Same was Continued for argument untill
   next

   Thomas Joyce appointed Overseer of the Road from his own house to
   the Narrows and over into the Easter Neck to where the old Road formerly
   led in the Room of Charles Ringold
           Mr James Williamson Comes into Court and proves an account agst:
   William Glanvill for the Summ of ten Shills Currant money.
           John Rogers of this County haveing a Negroe Woman called Sibara that
   is old and decrept and past Labour whereby to answer the Charge in maintain:
   ing of her and paying her Levy on which this Court doth adjudge that the Master
   of the Sd Negroe Woman be acquit from paying any further Levy for the Sd Negroe
