      And the af^d. Def^t. by Thomas Bowne his Attorney Comes and defends
   the force and Injury when &c. And Saveing to himself all and all manner
   of Advantages and Exceptions as well to the writt af^d as to the Declⁿ of the
   af^d. plt^f. prays Leave to Imparle thereto and answere at next Court and he
   hath it and Same day is given the plt^f. also.

   the writt in the S^d Action was directed makes Return to the Court here on
   the third Teusday of June viz^t. the 21^st day of S^d Month anno Domⁱ 1720
   being the day of Return of Said writt Endorst Cepi Corpus p^r Simon Wilmer Sher^f
           And the af^d. Def^t. by John Johnson his Attorney Comes and defends
   the force and Injury when &c and prays leave to imparle thereto and an:

   by the S^d plt^f against the Said Def^t. and wherein the Sheriff of S^d County to whom
   the writt in the Said accõn (being a Writt Immediate) made Return of the Same
   to the Court Endorst as foll^s viz^t. Non Est inventus p^r Simon Wilmer Sher^f.
     Maryland Kent County S^t. The true Cause of action in this Case is
   that a Certain Josiah Richardson late of Kent County af^d. is Justly indebted to
   Edward Mitchell in the Summ of thirteen pounds Eighteen & Eight pence
   Currant money of Maryland and Nine Hundred and Eighty two pounds
   of Tobacco laid out & Expended in diverse fees and Expences by the S^d Edw^d.
