Arthur Miller	\|	This being an Action of Debt for the Summ of one thousand
a^t	\|	Six hundred and Seventy two pounds of Tobacco Commenced
Joseph Wood	\|	by the S^d. Plt against the S^d Def^t. And wherein the Sheriff of S^d

   was filed a Declaration to the writt in S^d Action the Sheriff of S^d County makes return of
   the writt to the Court here on the third Teusday in June, viz^t the 21^st. day of the Same
   month anno Domⁱ 1720 Endorst Cepi Corpus p^r Simon Wilmer Sher^f
      K^t Couty in Maryl^d Ss^t. Joseph Wood of Kent County Plant^r. al^s Dic^s. Joseph
   Wood of Kent County in the province of Maryland Planter was Summoned
   to answer unto Arthur Miller of a plea that he render unto him the Sum
   of one thousand Six hundred Seventy and two pounds of good Sound Merchant=
   :able Leafe Tobacco in Casque of the value of Sixteen pounds Sterl^g which he un=
   justly detains &c^a. And whereupon the af^d. plt by Thomas Bowne his attorney
   Saith that whereas the af^d. Def^t. the Seventeenth day of march in the year of our
   Lord Christ one thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen at the parish County and Ju=
   :risdiction af^d. Acknowledged himself to owe and Stand Indebted unto the af^d plt in
   the af^d Sum of Eight hundred thirty and Six pounds of good Sound merchan=
   :table Leafe Tobacco in Casque of the value of Eight pounds Sterling money
   for the true paym^t of which the S^d Def^t. bound himself his his heires Exec^rs.
   and adm^rs. in the Sume of one thousand Six hundred Seventy and two pounds
   of like Tobacco qualifyed as af^d. Yett the af^d. Def^t. altho. afterwards
   viz^t. on the twentieth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord Christ one thous=
   and Seven hundred and Twenty at the parish County and Jurisdiction af^d. was
   thereunto required the af^d. Summ of Seventy pounds of merchantable Tobacco
   hath not paid according to the form and Effect of the Said Bill by which accõn
   hath accrued to the S^d Plt. to exact and have of the af^d. Def^t. the af^d. Summ of
   one thousand Six hundred Seventy and two pounds of merchantable Tobacco
   Yett the af^d Def^t. altho often required the af^d Summ of one thousand Six hun=
   dred and Seventy pounds of Tobacco to the af^d. Plt hath not paid but that
   to him to render or pay hitherto hath denied and Still doth deney and unjustly
   detain whereupon he brings Suite &c^a.                                              { Jn^o Doe

        Whereupon at the prayer of the plt. the Def^t. is adjudged
   to give Special Bail to the Action af^d. Thereupon Mauris Carty of Kent County
   Planter present here in Court Undertakes for the S^d. Joseph Wood that in Case
   the S^d. Arthur Miller Shall recover Judgement in the plea af^d against
