    48                                      June Court 1718
   Mr. Thomas Bowne of this County and brings a negro Boy of his called
   Romolus for to have his age adjudged Therefore it is Considered by the Court
   here this Eighteenth day of June Anno Domini One Thousand Seven——
   hundred and Eighteen on view of the Same Negro boy do adjudge him to be
   fourteen Years old the Twenty eighth day of August next ensuing

   Thomas Rush appointed Guardian of William Battershell Son of -
   Henry Battershell late Said County deceased —————

   Thomas Rush appointed Guardian of John Battershell Son of Henry
   Battershell late Said County deceased —————

   Benjamin Ball Acknowledges a Conveyance for Nine[?] two Acres of Land
   and three forths of an Acre of Land being Tract of Land Called adventure —
   to Mr. Robert Dunn—

    Orphan Jury discharged The Same ordered to be Sworn
   Grand Jury who being called came viz.
                          Abraham Redgrave foreman
   Thomas Ringgold Thomas Piner Mathew Piner Philip Davis James.
   Piner William Simson Thomas Boyer Peter Jones Edward Davis William
   Pope William Roberts Daniel Ferrill Robert Meeks Thomas Christian
   The Same being Sworn as a Grand Jury Charge given and Sent out~.

   Thomas Hughs Timothy Slauter Joseph Wood Lydia Harper Michael
   Byrne & Peter Williams All Sworn as Evidences & Sent to the Grand Jury

   Upon Complaint of Garret Closier for that Hance Hanson of this County
   hath broke the peace and beat & abused him on which it is ordered by the
   Court here that the Sherf of Said County bring in the body of Hance Hanson to Answer
   the Same
     After which the afd Hance Hanson being brought into Court by the Sherf of Said
   County and appears to the Court that he hath broke ye peace ordrs. by the Court~
   that the Sherf of Said County keep the afd Hance in Safe Custody untill he Shall give
   Surety to Answer the Same ——

   Hance Hanson afd comes into Court and acknowledges himselfe Indebted to his Lord Ship
   his heires & Successors in the Sume of Tenn pounds Sterling to be Leveyd on his goods
   and Chattells Lands & Tenements Conditionally that if he do not appeare to morrow
