     46                                  June Court 1718
   William Battershell (Son of Henry Battershell late of Said County deceased )
   bound to Thomas Rush of This County untill the Said William Shall arrive to the
   age of Twenty one Years he being Nine Years old the Eighth day of this —
   Instant~ June and the Said Thomas Rush doth oblige himselfe that the Said
   William Shall be learnt to read write and Arethmatick as farr as the —
   rule three and went learnt to be kept So to the Same that he may retaine
   what learnt when at age
     John Battershell (Son of Henry Battershell late of Said County deceased) —
   bound to Thomas Rush of this County untill the Said John Shall arrive to the age
   of Twenty one Years he being Six Years old the Twenty Eighth day of Febry
   last~. And the Said Thomas Rush doth oblige himselfe that the Said John Shall
   be learnt to read write and Arethmatick as farr as the rule of three and went
   learnt to be kept So to the Same that he may retain what learnt when at age

   Thomas Hynson haveing kept the afd John Battershell Some time for which
   he demands two hundred pounds of Tobacco Thomas Rush of this County
   Comes into Court and Saith that he will pay the Same Two hundred pounds
   of Tobacco to the afd Thomas Hysnon or order at or before the tenth day—
   of November next Ensuing ——
   His Lordship . | The afd Rob.t being Suspected of Stealing Some Tobo from—
             at | a certain William Pope : The Same is Committed till Grand
   Robert Linch | Jury Sworn &ca —

   Timothy Slauter an Evidence agst Same Ordered to Enter into Recognizance
   Acknowledges himselfe Indebted to his Lordship his heires and Successors in the
   Sume of five pounds Sterling to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands
   and Tenements Conditionally that if he do not give his Evidence on his Lordships
   behalfe against the afd Robert Linch to the grand Jury this Court ——

| The Same being bound in Recognizance by Colo Nathaniel
   His Lordship. | Hynson one of the Justices of this Court for his appearance to
             at | this Court.. The nineth day of June instant The Same Thomas
   Thomas Cooke | Cooke appears in proper person to the Same   ordered by

the Court here that he be discharged from the Same Recogniz< e.


and his Sureties from there Recognizances for his appearance
   Thomas Cooke afd having entered into Recognizance as afd in the Sume of Twenty.
   pounds Sterling to be Levey’d &ca. Conditionally that if he Should not make his -
   personall appearance as afd And to Answer what Should be objected against him
   on his Lord Ships behalfe on Suspiciõn felony and at this Court prays he may be
   discharged No person Shewing any Cause to the Contrary This Court here discharges the
   Same
   Michael Byrne and Timothy Slauter Sureties for the afd Thomas Cooke Entered into
   Recognizance In the Sume of Tenn pounds Sterling Each for the appearance
