June Court 1718 Att A Court held for Kent County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County on the Seventeenth day of June and Continued Eighteenth and nineteenth days of the Same month in the fourth Year of the Dominion of Charles absolute Lord and Proprietarie of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Barron of Baltemore &ca. Proclamation the orphan Jury who being called came vizt. Abraham Redgrave foreman Thomas Ringgold Thomas Piner Mathew Piner Philip Davis James Piner William Simson Thomas Boyer Peter Jones Edward Davis William Pope William Roberts Daniel Ferrill Robert Meeks Thomas Christian The Same being Sworn as an orphan Jury charge given and Sent out Colo. Edward Scott takes his place & Sitts on the bench Mr. William Comegys Takes his place and Sitts on the bench The orphan Jury returns and presents Sarah Jewers for not learning Samuel Haggis as She is oblidged Likewise William Woodland for not keeping William Duerty to his trade & Learning According to his Indenture Likewise John Faning for not keeping Edward Carrill to his trades & Learning According to his Indenture Proclamation for the Cunstables who Do likewise appeare- but hath nothing to offer Samuel Parsons haveing two apprentisses bound to him by Indentures vizt. Abigall Parsons & Nicho Parsons and gave obligation with two Sureties for the due performace of the afd Indentures The [afd?] Samuel with the two Said apprentisses appears in Court and nothing being offered agst. the Said Samuel &ca |
