   Averment afd by him above pretended As before defends the
   force and Injury when &ca. And Says that he hath not been Informed
   by the Said Deft what to plead whereby the Said Plt may remain
   against the Said Deft without further defence Therefore it is
   Considered by the Justices here to wit the 21st. day of March Anno
   Domi 1710 That the Said John Ball Recover against the Said
   John Ashmore as well the Sume of Three pounds Nine –
   Shillings and Six pence Currant money Damages by Occation
   of the premises afd as also the Sume of Three hundred and Seven
   pounds of Tobacco by the Court here adjudged to him for his
   Cost and Charges about his Suite in this behalfe expended And
   the Deft. in mercy &ca.
   The afd Plt by Wart. of Attry bearing date May ye 18th: 1723 Acknowledges    Jams Smith Clk
   Satisfaccõn from William Mackey Spl. baile of the above Jno. Ashmore for ye
   Debt & Cost in the Judgmt. afd —————

the Province of Maryland was
   Summoned to answer unto Henry Hendrickson of a plea that he render
   unto him the Sume of fourteen hundred pounds of good Sound Tobacco
   of ye value of fourteen pounds Sterling which he unjustly detaines
   and whereupon the afd Plt by Thomas Bowne his attry Saith
   that Whereas the afd Deft. the twelfth day of March in the Year
   of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen
   at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County within the Jurisdiciõn of this
   Court By his Certain bill obligatory which he the Said Deft
   Sealed with his Seale and as his deed Delivered hereinto Court
   brought the date whereof is the Same day and Year afd bound
   himselfe to pay to the afd Plt. the afd Sume of fourteen hundred
   pounds of good Sound Tobacco of the afd value of fourteen pounds
   Sterling money at or upon the tenth day of October next ensuing the
   date of the Said Bill Obligatory Yet the afd Deft altho often
   required the afd Sume of fourteen hundred pounds of Tobacco to
   [the] afd Plt. hath not paid But that to him to render or pay he
   [the afd] Deft. hitherto hath Denied and Still doth denie and
   [unjustly detaine] to the damage of the afd Plt. five pounds of like
   money and [there]upon he brings Sute &ca Bowne pr Querr Plds Jno Doe & Rd Roe
   Att the prayer of the Plt. by his attry afd The Deft is adjudged to
