   into Recognizance for his appearance to next Court to answer the afd Indict[:]
   [:]ment the afd George Gleaves prays that he may have a tryal Immediately
   ordered by the Court here that the Same come to tryal directly for as
   much as Issue is Joyned on the afd Indictment. The afd Clk of the Indictmts.
   Say’th that he hath not Evide at this Court Sufficient to prove the face.
   Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit the 21st. day of March
   Anno Domi 1719 That The afd George Gleaves be held no longer by the
   afd Indictment but that the Same be held for naught and that all
   preceedings therein Cease &ca

and Sherf of Kent County Court Greeting
   Altho’ we lately Commanded you by our writ of Habeas Corpus that you
   Should have the Body of a Certain Richard Smithers by what Soever Name
   he Should be Called in a plea of trespass upon the Case at the Suite of a
   Certain Benjamin Griffith together with the day and Cause of his Caption
   and Detainer and all things thereunto relateing &ca. That our Justices
   of our Provll. Court might further proceed therein as to Justice appertains –
   Yet for divers good Causes Moveing our Justices of our Said Provll Court wee
   Command you to proceed in the premises afd against the afd Richd Smithers
   as if the Said writ of Habeas Corpus had never Yet Issued any thing in
   our Said writ of Habeas Corpus Contained to the Contrary thereof Notwith:
   :standing witness Wm Holland Esqrr. Chief Justice of our Said Court the
   25th. day of Aprill in the fourth year of our Dominion &ca. Anno Domi 1719

   Kent County Ss Richard Smithers of Kent County Gentleman Stands Attached to
                       Answer unto Benjamin Griffiths of a plea of Trespass of the Case
   and Whereupon the afd Plt by Thomas Bowne his attorney Complains that
   whereas the Nineteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand
   Seven hundred and Sixteen at Chester Town in Kent County afd in the Court held
   for the Said County before Nathaniel Hynson and his associates then Justices of
   the Right Honble the Lord Proprietor for the Said County Court a certain Suite
   then and there depending Between the Said Benjamin then Plt and the
   Said Richard then defendant of an Concerning Divers Quantityes of Tobacco by
   Account Amounting unto the Sume of two Thousand five hundred and Eight
   pounds of Tobacco then & there due from the Said Richard to the Said Benjn.
   the Said Richard then and there In Consideration that the Said Benjamin
   would at his the Said Richards Special Instance and request cause the Said
   action then and there in the Said Court undermined to be in the Record[s]
